CENTRAL MARKET
Galvanized-iron metal building housing a large number of small rooms where you can sample Chilean specialties.
This building is a large metal structure in galvanized iron, the elements of which were cast in England according to plans by Manuel Aldunate. Completed in 1868, the building was inaugurated on the occasion of the National Exhibition of 1872. Today, the complex includes a large number of small premises where you can taste Chilean specialties or buy handicrafts. The so-called "picturesque" restaurants are picturesque, but are still very touristy. If you want to enjoy a little more authenticity, head to the market in La Vega.

The central market is full of typical products expensive steps that you can just want to enjoy (empanadas!).
