Interesting museum inaugurated in 1995, featuring a collection of fossilized resins, archaeology, antique farm machinery...
It is a very interesting museum, considered the largest of all the private museums in the country. Inaugurated in 1995, it presents a superb collection of fossilized resins (ambers) where insects of some 45 million years old have been caught; archaeological collections (from Chile, but also from Peru and Colombia); an exhibition of ancient agricultural machinery, and a presentation of the world of the huaso, the Chilean cowboy (utensils, clothes, etc.). The whole is extremely well done and fascinating.
