IGLESIA CARMELITAS
Neo-Gothic church built between 1910 and 1913 with a central nave, stained glass windows from Spain, altar and confessionals.
Although it is only neo-Gothic, it is considered an architectural gem. Built between 1910 and 1913, it has a central nave 16 m high and 8 m wide. Most of the construction and its ornaments are the work of the fathers themselves. The stained glass windows from Spain, the size of the altar and the confessionals are remarkable. The church was used as a convent and has kept a beautiful interior patio. In 2017, restoration work revealed the stained glass windows by the artist Ernesto Buttner, born in Quilpé in the Valparaiso region.
