MUSEO DUNGUNWE
Museum presenting the historical legacy of German, Mapuche and Chilean cultures brought to the Contulmo region
Just off the main square, this building was once a manor house. Converted into a museum in 2004, dungunwe means "meeting place" and pays tribute to the people who lived on its lands. It highlights the historical legacy that the German, Mapuche and Chilean cultures have brought to the Contulmo region. From everyday objects to historical documents, we meet here, generation after generation, the richness of each community and its role in the development of the town. An instructive and pleasant visit.
