CERRO ÑIELOL
Overlooking the city, this park is a very pleasant place to picnic or contemplate Temuco and its surroundings.
Managed by Conaf, this 90-hectare park dominates the city. It is a very pleasant place to picnic or to admire Temuco and its surroundings. It is also a historical place: in 1881 the border army and the Mapuche signed the treaty that allowed the city to be established (at the place called La Patagua). In a typical southern Chilean nature, you will wander through four different paths, winding through forests of oaks, laurels, boldo (whose leaves are drunk as tea) and olivillo.
