The peninsula is in fact a small nature park, with a large number of conifers specific to the region. You come here after the beach or to swim in its charming coves. Situated on a hill, 50 m above the lake, two watchtowers offer an excellent view of the town, the islands and Lake Calafquén. The peninsula separates two beaches in Lican Ray: Playa Grande, overlooking the islands of the lake, and Playa Chica, near the pier, a small wharf where many colourful boats are moored (some can be rented for a walk on the lake).
