Castillo built in 1678 in Corral, with 21 cannons and a tunnel at its base to facilitate railroad passage.
Built in 1678 during the War of Araucania, this castillo is one of the 17 fortifications built in the Valdivia area. It was first built to rebuild the city destroyed by the indigenous peoples (largely Mapuche). It had 21 cannons and even a tunnel at its base to facilitate the passage of the railway that linked Alto Horno to the port. In January and February, historical re-enactments are organized here by the city.
