A street featuring houses classified as National Monuments, distinguished by their walls, wooden roofs and pillars on the facade.

The town of Osorno is characterized by its European-influenced architecture developed by craftsmen from the German colonization. You will see the most beautiful examples on Mackenna Street, between Freire and Cochrane Streets (Stuckrath, Surber, Shuller houses), and at the corner of Matta and Mackenna Streets (Mohr Perez house). Classified as National Monuments, these 19th century houses are distinguished by their wooden walls and roofs (today, the tiles have been replaced by zinc) and by their pillars on the facade.
