BUREAU DU PARC PUYEHUE
Puyehue National Park, located in the town of the same name, is a must-see for nature lovers. Created in 1941, it covers an area of 107,000 hectares and is part of the Southern Andes Temperate Rainforest Biosphere Reserve. The park is home to lush vegetation, including evergreen forests and species such as ulmo, coihue, olivillo and tineo. A wide variety of animals can also be seen, including the puma, gray fox, quique, coipo, guiña, vizcacha, monito del monte and chingue, as well as numerous species of birds. The park offers several hiking trails, some interpretive and others more recreational. Services such as accommodation, first aid and petrol stations are available close to the park.
