The Frutillar Music Week(Semanas Musicales de Frutillar), held in January, was one of the main impetuses for the creation of a theater, built on the site of the old town hall (destroyed by fire in 1996). Inaugurated in 2010, Teatro el Lago now attracts thousands of artists and spectators. Classical music concerts, stand-up comedy, ballet, festivals... this cultural gem hosts a wide range of shows. The theater is renowned for its exceptional acoustics and modern architecture.
