PARQUE TAGUA TAGUA
Private park protecting over 3,000 hectares of forest as well as impressive mountains, waterfalls and rivers.
It is a private park, run by the Universidad Mayor de Santiago and managed by Secret Patagonia in Puerto Varas. It protects no less than 3,000 hectares of siempre verde forest, including some rather impressive thousand-year-old alerts. Forests, mountains, waterfalls and rivers interact to form impressive landscapes. The trails offer a total circuit of 18 kilometres. They are well marked and laid out. The park also has two refuges, the Refugio Alerce 6.5 km from the starting point and Quetrus 10 km away. Fly fishing is also practiced here.
