Site featuring various trails: La Cascada, 12 km Tronador, 3 km Los Alerces and Ventisquero El Amarillo.
The La Cascada trail leads from the café at the entrance to Caleta Gonzalo in around 3 hours (round trip) to a very pretty waterfall.
The Tronador trail, 12 km long (and 1 km south of Caleta Gonzalo), is actually a series of wooden steps leading to a rustic campsite.
The Los Alerces trail, 3 km long, offers a good approach to these magnificent trees from the Tronador trek.
The Ventisquero El Amarillo trail, south of the park and Chaitén (at the junction with the Carretera Austral), is one of the most beautiful in the park. It starts at the campsite and runs fairly flat for 10 km. Magnificent panoramas.
