This fascinating archaeological site is reminiscent of the famous Cueva de las Manos in neighbouring Argentina. This 35 m-long natural wall, formed of large rock faces, is famous for its 5,000-year-old cave paintings. These works, created by the region's earliest inhabitants, depict stencilled human hands, animals and geometric symbols. The site bears witness to the rock art of the region's Tehuelche culture, and is a major cultural and historical heritage site in Chile.
