Museum displaying moving objects and photos relating to native culture, witnesses to a bygone era.
This interactive museum, renovated in 2023, displays a series of objects and photos relating to aboriginal culture. Before its renovation, it was known as the Musée Martin Gusinde, an Austrian anthropologist who worked with the Fuegian Yamanas, Kawésqar and Selk'nam peoples between 1918 and 1924. He was one of the few Westerners to have been introduced to the initiation rites of these now extinct peoples. The photographs are sublime and moving.
