MUSEO ARCHEOLÓGICO
Museum housing no fewer than 12,000 objects from the first nations and tribes that once inhabited the region.
This museum exhibits no less than 12,000 objects from the first nations and tribes that once inhabited the region. Among them are relics from the El Molle (0 - 800 AD), Ánimas (600 - 1000 AD) and Diaguitas cultures. The latter were a people of farmers and ceramists who disappeared during the colonization. A beautiful collection presents their ceramics, tools and fabrics. An Atacamene mummy and a moai, originally from Easter Island, which has travelled extensively around the world, are also on display.
