Gabriela Mistral, who won the Nobel Prize in 1945, is one of the great figures of Chilean literature. It was in this house, now a museum, that the poetess was born. Her life is traced through her books, the paintings she owned and her favourite objects. In addition to the permanent collection, you will find a library with 2,000 books. Most of them come from Gabriela Mistral's personal collection and were donated to the city of Vicuna to create its public library.
