MAMALLUCA OBSERVATORIO
The region's first low-cost observatory, built in 1995, is staffed by experienced, bilingual guides.
This tourist centre, built in 1995, was the first observatory in the region. Most of the travel agencies of the region go there: this means that it can be crowded, especially in summer! The city of Vicuña being just a step away, the light contamination can disturb a little the observation. However, one must admit that the rates are low and the expertise is there: the guides know their job, take the time to explain and are all bilingual (Spanish/English). Perfect for astronomy lovers!
