PEDERNALE EMPLOYEE
A magnificent sea of salt at an altitude of 3,350 m, nestled in the Domeyko mountain range, with more than 25 springs.
Shortly before the San Francisco border complex, a few kilometers before entering the national park, a road leads north to the Salar de Pedernales (63 km north of the junction). Located at 3 350 m of altitude and enclosed in the Domeyko mountain range, this magnificent sea of salt has more than 25 springs: you can bathe there and enjoy the splendour of the landscape. A small track on the right (towards the old mine of Bórax) runs along its western side, and also allows you to admire the panorama from a completely different point of view.
