CONAF

The Corporación Nacional Forestal (CONAF) is a regional public administration located in Antofagasta. It is responsible for managing the region's forests and national parks. The regional director is Anita María Huichaman Martin. CONAF Antofagasta offers various regional programs and is divided into several departments, such as the Department of Protected Areas, the Department of Conservation of Forest and Xerophilous Ecosystems, the Department of Fiscalization and Environmental Evaluation, and the Department of Finance and Administration. CONAF Antofagasta also manages several national parks, including Morro Moreno National Park, Llullaillaco National Park, La Portada Natural Monument and Los Flamencos National Reserve.
