An informative museum displaying evidence of the first populations to populate the region before the arrival of the Spanish.
The museum displays evidence of the first populations that inhabited the region before the arrival of the Spanish. The exhibition tries to explain the mystery of the survival of a flourishing civilization in a desert as arid as the Atacama. The history of saltpeter mining will also be shown. The new museum was inaugurated in 2016, an ambitious 170 million peso project. An instructive visit!
