The airport is close to the city, and can be reached by taxi for $7,000 / $11,000. A transfer service (Transfer Licancabur) is offered at each flight arrival to San Pedro de Atacama. This is about $10,000 per person for a one-way ticket or $18,000 for a round-trip ticket. Latam and Sky Airline offer flights to Antofagasta, Arica and Santiago several times a day. Since 2019, Latam has been operating direct flights to Lima. Remember that the cheapest fares are obtained by purchasing your ticket at least seven days in advance, and provided that your stay also includes a Saturday. Plan a 2.5-hour flight from Santiago, with a stopover in Antofagasta, or 2 hours if the flight is direct.
