ANA TE PAHU
This drum cave on the slopes of Ma'unga Terevaka is a fine example of the remains left by volcanic eruptions.
Heading towards the coast from the 7 Moai site (the track is in poor condition, hiking, biking or horseback riding is best), you will pass through a banana plantation, then arrive at the entrance to Te Pahu cave ("the cave of the drum" in Rapanui), which can be explored with a flashlight. Located on the slopes of Ma'unga Terevaka, it is the largest cave on the island and a fine example of the remnants left by volcanic eruptions. The corridor must be a little more than 100 m long and you come out through another opening.
