HANGA HOONU (PEROUSE BERRY)
Site to discover two ahu (Hekii and Te Pito Kura) and a surprisingly round stone, called "The Egg of the Center of the World".
There are two ahu, Hekii and Te Pito Kura, whose moai, which unfortunately lies on the ground, is, at 12 m, the largest ever raised on an ahu. Right next to it is a surprisingly round stone, called "The Egg of the Center of the World" by the islanders. Despite some scientific studies, it is still impossible to define the origin of its shape. The bay owes its name to the La Pérouse expedition commanded by the naval officer of the same name.
