LE CENTRE D’ART
Created in 1944, the Art Center played a fundamental role in the birth of contemporary Haitian painting. The museum left rue de l 'Burial in 1978 to settle in an old Haitian house with six rooms serving as exhibition sites before the earthquake of 2010. On the first floor, a room was reserved for Capoise painting (Léonel Pierre, E. Chavannes, Edouard Jean, etc.).
