LA PLANTATION
It's probably the finest kitchen in Pétion City. Mr. and Mrs. Ocio, former Bordeaux restaurateurs, have put their experiences to the service of Haiti. A table frequented by a high-end clientele, it makes the gourmets happy. The decoration of the natural materials is the best, because it marries beautifully with the Provencal yellow of the walls. The many plants and temporary exhibitions of talented Haitian artists drain the room. The small inner room with its cylinders embedded in the stone produces a soft and surrealistic light. The menu is varied and the plates are excellent value for money. The staff trained by the owners is efficient, discreet and smiling. The wine card is one of the most furnished of the city. Nice dessert card. Special mention of the perfumed ice chaplain at Grand Marnier. An address not to be missed.
