Remains of the Royal Palace of Henri Christophe whose construction began in 1806.

It is in the village of Milot, 20 km from Cape Town and at the foot of the Cap-de-l'Bishop, that King Christophe built the Sans palace. Over a space of eight hectares, the essential elements of its absolute power were concentrated: barracks and arsenal, symbols of military power, administrative buildings (ministries, Council of state, whose ruins are close to the current church), prisons, etc. Fountains and sinks agrémentaient large wrought iron and stone poteaux gardens. On a large terrace, one will notice a caïmitier under which, on the other hand, the monarch loved to make justice fast. The royal residence, inaugurated in 1813, was looted from Christophe's death and partially destroyed by the 1842 earthquake. These remains have no shortage of grandeur and it is hoped that in the near future UNESCO will be able to perform work of the same quality as that carried out at the Citadel in the near future.
