LE VILLAGE TAINO

A social entrepreneurship project focused on learning through the work, the staff of People Village is made up of young Haitians who wish to train in the business professions. Opened just recently by a Belge and Hervé, respectively Belgian and Breton, this little wonder of écolodge consists of 5 bungalows full of charm and simplicity, built according to seismic and para-cyclonic principles. Here, no clim or excessive comfort, everything has been designed to respect the environment as much as possible: solar energy, rational management of water and common health. The restaurant, located under a large choucoune, is governed by the same principles: commodities come from small local producers and local fishermen, and the village burger is made with "homemade bread". Visitors will have the choice between enjoy on the beautiful beach and its pontoon, go to tour the nearby beaches of Cocoyer beach or Banana Beach (why not spend at night) and other activities still: snorkeling, fishing, wakeboard or hiking or hiking in the surrounding area, including the tour of a cooperative jam factory.
