STRONG FREEDOM
At the end of the Republican Street, not far from the harbour, there is a Fortin and a memorial to Faustin I.
To go to Fort Liberté, the Avenue des Vignes is located on the left of the national road by coming from Port-au-Prince. We pass a stream, we go on by car over a hundred meters. We're at the foot of a raidillon, so you have to walk a hundred meters. The barrel of an abandoned gun plays the role of indicator pole… At the top, there is only a mini-fortin, but the place is mostly worth a visit for the beautiful view on Petit-Goâve Bay.
