OLIVE FORT
Dating back to the th century, this fort, built on the seafront and facing the island to the English, as a dam against English troops, is now somewhat neglected. The remains of the building appear to be flooded with an vegetation that repeats its rights. But the whole remains impressive and the visit gives a glimpse of what the place might have been. In order to enhance its heritage, the city of Saint-Louis-du-Sud has been organizing, for several years, the Festival de la Sirène, draining a large population of locals, as well as tourists and people from the diaspora in search of animation.
