The Church of St. Anne, built by Scheutist priests in 1913, is the former cathedral and the first permanent church to be built, with a presbytery, a procurator's office and school buildings. The buildings are in red brick in neo-Gothic style with arcades and columns and also more recent Congolese style buildings which are extensions added in the 1970s. Masses are held on Sundays in Lingala, Latin and French. The visit is worthwhile for lovers of old stones, religious and historical sites.
