The Cathedral of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows was built between 1926 and 1936. It remains the largest church in the country. Of Tuscan inspiration, it surprises by its use of brick, almost unique material of the building and which supports an octagonal dome. The polychromy plays with white, gray, black, red, weaves geometric patterns along the double arches and arcades in enfilades. The simplicity, the space, the sobriety of the wooden benches, the play of light in the ochre tones, incite meditation.
