MUSEUM OF MBANDAKA
Founded in the late 1950s, this museum was one of the 4 national museums. The original collection included 600 pieces of the province's cultural and traditional heritage. Closed in 1980, the works were moved to Kinshasa, along with the building. It was only in 2012 that the Museum was able to reopen its doors. Today, the room houses a few traditional tools, masks, objets d'art and an "enfombe", the wooden sarcophagi reserved for great chiefs. All of which is in need of a proper showcase. You can also admire the pretty colonial façade.
