SOTEXKI

Sotexki, for the Kisangani Textile Society. The industrial flagship of the region and the country in terms of cotton wiring/weaving and manufactured wax wax since 1971. Despite the difficult years that led to the Chinese plunder and invasion of the market, Sotexki is still in the position today and is trying to stay the course. Moreover, it is the latest Congolese factory that still produces printed loincloths, including private orders (printable ground on demand). All from local cotton produced in Bas Uélé and Ituri, where 35.000 peasants still depend on Sotexki. Faithful to the tradition of yesteryear, and to contribute to the maintenance of this emblematic factory that generates local jobs, we are therefore not leaving Kisangani without buying a Création loincloth creation (about $ 20)! A representation is located in downtown (Bd Lumumba).

But Sotexki is also and above all the factory located on the outskirts of Kisangani, on a beautiful green site along the river Tshopo. Possibility to walk on the Tshopo River and visit the factory upon request.
