The Halle de l'Etoile belongs to the network of French cultural establishments under the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Africa and throughout the world. It is an instrument of cooperation and culture that works for cultural diversity, obeying a triple vocation: the enhancement of artistic and cultural expressions for artists from the "Great Katanga", the enhancement of French and European culture, and more generally the promotion of north-south and south-south cultural dialogue.
Located in the city centre, the Halle de l'Etoile has an equipped and air-conditioned performance hall, an outdoor stage, a recording studio, a library/media library and an exhibition room. Performances in theatre, dance, cinema and circus are regularly scheduled. As well as concerts and debates of ideas, exhibitions.
