This is the big popular market in town, with concrete stalls for many years. You can find everything there, cheaper, fresher and more pleasant than in big stores. The atmosphere is also more authentic. If you are not a local celebrity, it is preferable to be accompanied to enjoy the surreal haggling with the mothers, who are ruthless in negotiating, that is part of the game. There are other markets in Kenya (the largest in the city), Katuba (Malu Mmantonda market), Njanja and Kamalondo.
