The Karibu belongs to the illustrious Ngezayo family, which has done so much for tourism and agriculture. But its glory days are behind it. Today, the immense property has been dismantled due to political and judicial problems. What remains are the pavilions and apartments arranged in this vast park with swimming pool and tennis courts. Everything breathes the 70s and 80s when Congolese tourism was still a model for the rest of the continent. It is true that Karibu has retained its charm, but a complete rehabilitation and upgrading is essential.
