It seems totally improbable to find a hotel of this standing here... Prime Minister Matata Ponyo, a native of Kindu, is the man behind it. The whole complex is very classy and extremely well maintained. Rows of sober buildings, interspersed with flower gardens, house 17 rooms equipped with all the necessary comforts, including hot water! And electricity in the morning and evening, in case of power cuts. There's also a restaurant serving Indian-inspired snacks as well as Congolese classics. And the must: the small gym.
