The Brazzaville-Pointe Noire link is operated by the Chemin de Fer Congo-Océan (CFCO), Congo-Ocean railway. The overnight journey takes an average of 16 hours. Well-maintained and fully air-conditioned, the Gazelle train is safe and controlled, and no longer overloads. You can spend the night in clean, sanitized couchettes, or in first class in reclining armchairs. In second class, comfort is more basic, but still decent. Catering is available in the central bar car.
