CHEZ NDAYE
Ndaye's restaurant (pronounced ndayé) is quietly tucked away in a corner during the development. Ndaye is one of the privileged spots for Sunday afternoons in Bacongo. Its popularity is not based on the menu (fish and meat dishes, broths), but on the groups of drummers who regularly perform in the courtyard. Here, one can enjoy a lively afternoon dining between two Primus beers. It's very lively, as the dancers often invite guests to join them, providing an opportunity to remember that the rumba originated from the ecstatic fertility dances of the Kongo kingdom...
