Every two years, big names in African music and local artists take turns on the city's various stages.
After an absence of eight years, the Pan-African Music Festival returned to Brazzaville in July 2023, with the theme of rumba. Some 17 countries were represented at this long-awaited eleventh edition. Over the course of a week, the big names of African music (Myriam Makeba, Youssou N'dour, etc.) and local artists took to the stages, set up at various sites around the city. The opening and closing concerts are not to be missed. What's more, all concerts are free, so why not take advantage?
