The festival, which takes place in Brazzaville's working-class neighbourhoods, focuses on theatre and the performing arts.
The Mantsina sur Scène festival celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2023! It was created, and largely financed, in 2003 by a collective of Congolese authors, directors, and actors, the Noé Culture association. Since 2015, due to a lack of funding, shows have been staged and presented in the plots, as close as possible to the inhabitants of Brazzaville's working-class neighbourhoods. The festival features works by mainly contemporary authors, from Africa, but also from Europe.
