PONT DU 15 AOÛT 1960 (AUGUST 15, 1960 BRIDGE)
Inaugurated in 2016, the new corniche with its viaduct stretches from the Mami Wata restaurant to the Case de Gaulle. Its construction helped to relieve traffic congestion in Brazzaville by providing a faster link between the city centre and the southern exit of the capital. Its majestic cable-stayed bridge, 545 m long, runs alongside the Congo River, offering a superb panoramic view of the neighbouring capital. At nightfall, it proudly displays the country's colours: green, yellow and red. Named after the country's independence, the viaduct gives the capital a modern face.
