In the past, the Total market was a maze of muddy alleyways, where you staggered along amidst a flurry of activity, movement, and smells that were sometimes unbearable. Since then, a new two-storey covered market has opened on Avenue Matsoua. With its 2,083 marble tables, it's better organised. However, traders still spread out in the adjacent streets all the way to Avenue de l'OUA. There's always something for everyone: vegetables and fruit, household utensils, plastic goods, second-hand clothes galore... A must!
