A central and very accessible market, overlapping some forty small stalls offering an honest selection of Congolese handicrafts: modern statuettes in grey, almost bluish ebony with a magnificent patina, leather bags and statuettes, sandals, jewellery, masks... A few stalls also sell nail fetishes, spears and throwing axes, although these are difficult to bring back in carry-on luggage these days. Prices are negotiated lazily under the hot metal sheet.
