Gallery of sculptures combining traditional arts and contemporary sculpture in a variety of materials

Founded in the 1960s by Benoît Konongo, a famous painter of Congolese sculpture whose work still graces the streets of the capital, this gallery/workshop offers numerous sculptures at the crossroads of traditional and contemporary art. His sons and grandsons, trained by the master, continue to produce according to his teachings, using impressive materials such as "ironwood" or kambala, a striated wood of remarkable beauty. A wide variety of shapes and styles at reasonable prices.

Et merci
What a memorable experience! We returned laden with scultures pass that sit by now in the lounge. Mr Konongo is very welcoming and visit the back shop where it works. I love the slender statues made in Wengué: magnificent movement and polishing.

Thank you in Petit Futé to have published this 1st guide Brazza. It is a small unknown capital of tourists but so endearing.
