WALI CLEARING

Glade, home to groups of elephants and buffalo, with a lake for observing aquatic fauna and birds.
The most recent of the sites developed for tourism in the national park is the Wali clearing, located two kilometres north of Bomassa HQ. Home to a lake, the clearing is visited by groups of elephants and buffalo, which can be seen from the small platform at one end. The presence of the lake makes it ideal for observing aquatic fauna and, consequently, the birds that feed on it. A number of paths around the clearing also provide opportunities for guided excursions into the forest.
