Dzanga Triangle, part of Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park, home to groups of lowland gorillas, including Kingo
Around 20 km from Bomassa, the Triangle Djeke, frequented by numerous groups of lowland gorillas, has been part of the Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park since early 2023. Covering an area of 11,000 hectares, the Djeke Triangle has an exceptional density of lowland gorillas. But more than that, a group of gorillas called Kingo has become accustomed to the presence of researchers. The Kingo group is known to this day as the only community of lowland gorillas among which researchers and observers can move freely.
