Wharf used for potash mining with repeated assaults from the wild coast rollers at Pointe-Noire

Nothing remains of the Wharf, which once stood perched on metal poles above the sea. It had been out of use for decades, having been used for potash mining, and the repeated assaults of the wild coastal rollers had taken their toll on its structure. Another wharf, which stood at the level of today's port and of which nothing remains either, played a major role in the town's development. It was here that the materials needed to build the railroad were unloaded.

There are almost no more the Wharf in 2010. It almost disappeared in the ocean... However, the Wild Coast is worth a visit for its large white sand beach and activities, including Sunday, where Congolese walk family.
