Picturesque Alsatian house, home to the legacy of Odette Pierron, widow of sculptor and engraver Daniel Meyer
This picturesque 17th-century Alsatian home, an annex of the Musée de la Laub, was home to two local artists: marker Henri Baumer and painter Philippe Steinmetz. The Maison des Arts houses the legacy of Odette Pierron, widow of sculptor and engraver Daniel Meyer, who donated the works of her late husband in tribute to Philippe Steinmetz, as well as two bronze busts, including one of the latter. Works by the painter Paul Weiss, the "Corot of the Ried", have also been incorporated into the Maison des Arts. Temporary exhibitions are also on show.
