Museum showcasing local history and men of letters with links to the commune
This superb half-timbered house with its bell tower, built in 1665, was once a meeting place for minstrels (itinerant jugglers and musicians). It was a sort of link between German and French Protestants, who made up the majority of the population but lived in separate neighborhoods. The museum is dedicated to the town's textile industrial heritage, and features evidence of local history from prehistory to the 19th century, as well as men of letters with links to the town, including André Maurois and Claude Vigée.
